Load and stress simulation

Using application-oriented methods and tools for simulation and modelling to optimize component design

No fatigue life assessment without experimental or numerical simulation. Our expertise therefore focuses on the development and improvement of application-oriented methods and tools for simulating and modelling the fatigue behavior of materials, components and systems with the aim of optimizing component design.

Strength and lifetime estimation

We develop numerical, experimental and hybrid methods and procedures for strength and lifetime estimation, for example for structural durability verifications in automotive engineering or heavy mechanical engineering, under multi-physical loads with the aim of gathering structural durability verifications.

From vehicle and system simulation to environmental simulation

Moreover, this comprises the evaluation of the dynamic system behavior, for example in the context of vehicle and system simulation.

Load and stress simulation also comprises the environmental simulation. Therefore we develop application specific numerical and experimental simulation environments to assess the influence of corrosion effects on metallic materials under cyclic loading coming from salt, hydrogen, sea water, ammonia or eco fuels.
